In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’d like to take the time to point out some great digital marketing tools that help make our lives a little bit easier.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’d like to take the time to point out some great digital marketing tools that help make our lives a little bit easier.

Digital Marketing Tools

Evernote

Why we love this it: Evernote is a great way to brainstorm, keep notes, and save articles while you are browsing the web. It’s great for daily tasks for both work and personal and the ability to include visuals of any format so everything is one place.

Hotjar

Why we love it: It’s great for analyzing the user experience on your site, gathering qualitative feedback, and identifying blockers in your conversion funnels.

Hemingwayapp

Why we love it: Hemingway was known for this simple and direct style of writing. This tool helps you simplify your writing to make your statements bold and clear. It’s a great tool to use to make sure your message is clear and concise.

Dashthis

Why we love this it: It’s a great tool for creating visual reports which can aggregate data from different marketing channels, thus giving you the full picture in a beautiful interactive dashboard. Their support team is phenomenal as well. If you get tripped up they are always available to help!

Paid Search Tools

Keyword Shitter

Why we love it: It’s a great way to get a ton of keyword ideas. Just add a phrase and it goes to work! You can also add negative and positive filters to refine your keyword list.  In addition, you can download your list in a nice little .txt file! This also a great way to find keywords you don’t want your ad to show up for too. The name is pretty clever too...

Keywords Everywhere

Why we love it: This neat little free chrome extension that tells you the keyword volume and CPC for anything you search on google. It also can add keywords to your list by clicking on the little star next to the word, so while in your research of new campaigns and you happen to come across a keyword you like, just favorite it. It is also very helpful with searches related to the keyword you searched.

Web Tools

GTmetrix

Why we love it: GTmetrix is invaluable because not only does it report the basic loading speed of a given page, but it provides a host of issues that could slow down the loading process. Page speed is not only a crucial element in the overall user experience, but it is a major component in site SEO. As such, having a tool like GTmetrix to diagnose problems helps deliver better websites.

DeepCrawl

Why we love it: On websites that have a vast amount of content, it’s inevitable that pages get moved around, forgotten, or accidentally deleted. In terms of content management, one of the worst things to happen is when a user clicks on a link and gets the dreaded 404 error. DeepCrawl helps detect broken links,404 errors, and other issues that relate to a user's inability to find the content they expect. By being proactive in this detection process, we can provide a better user experience and prevent potential problems before they arise on a user's screen.

Photoshop

Why we love it: We use Photoshop to design prototypes, websites, and anything design related. It gives you the freedom to design what you wish. While Photoshop might not be an easy tool to use, there are a lot of tutorials out there that will help you.

Browser Inspector

Why we love it: This helps web designers and developers visualize what a website will look like before going live. It allows designers to change color, dimensions, images, and pretty much anything else without directly affecting the website.

Sites to Further Our Job Skills

Codecademy

Why we love it: We are big advocates of continuous learning and this site helps us understand coding.

MarketingSherpa

Why we love it: Most marketing case studies out there are tied to using a certain product, Marketingsherpa does not operate this way. They provide practical case studies, research, and training based on statistics.
